Hands Off, My Loots!

I’m gonna try something new.  I’m actually going to start posting more!  Like…hopefully every time I get some tears, I’m going to log off, and post about it.  It probably won’t happen like that…but I’m tired of going through days and days worth of chat logs to refresh my memory of stuff.

First off for today, this is not entertaining in the least, but as I was salvaging the other day, I warp in to a Raven’s Mission…and what do I see?  He’s tractoring a can of loot behind him.  He’s looted the entire mission for me already…YOINK!…then I warp in the Orca, pick up the loot…and he never shoots, but hey…that can had about 15mil ISK worth of loot in it so I was happy.  Glad he got his hands off my loot! (see what I did there?)

Oh, and while I was going through the logs, I noticed this (which I didn’t see in local at the time…I was just traveling through some belts while can flipping)

Crap…copy/paste fail.  Suddenly Ninjas have a habit of posting tears in corp chat for others to revel over…Mr. Deeds provided that gem for me in local after our initial chat, so I had to share (I had already shared the killing of my own fecal matter ejection system with them…).  I forgot I didn’t have his first statement still on the clipboard…so it was a little embarrassing…easy enough to fix though!

Now, to the good stuff you have all been waiting for…BECAUSE OF FALCON!!!

Arden, over at Ninja Hi-Jinx found himself an Abaddon with an Itchy trigger finger…and I was in system so I thought I’d go watch the fight, and take some loot while I was at it.  Now, this Abaddon had some kind of hellish tank on it…Arden thought he might be very blingy…so I was getting ready to go grab a scan ship when the Abaddon shot at me too! (I had looted something, didn’t actually expect him to shoot at me though…what an idiot).  So, scan ship idea was put on hold as I warped to the Orca and grabbed my Gank Cane, Banana Smoothie.

I get back, and go to town on this Abaddon (I forgot the dudes name…he never said a word in local so I can’t really find out what it was).  Minutes go by (long minutes…this dude has one hell of a tank, me in my cane, and Arden in his Sleip are having trouble cracking him).  We are getting close…and…my client crashes! SHIT!!! Log back in!  But what is this?  It didn’t just crash…it FROZE…so I had to ctrl+alt+delete to get it closed out so I could reopen it.  Once I log back in, I reacquire lock and we start working on him again.

About a minute later…a neutral Falcon warps in.  Except, it’s not really neutral…it’s one of his corp mates…that doesn’t have aggro on either me or Arden.  Wanna guess what happens next?  You are correct…CONCORDOKKEN!!!!

The fit he linked was just a standard mission Abaddon fit, no shinies or anything…just T2 stuff.  Although this character was 4 years old, I still find it hard to believe he tanked a Gank Cane and a Sleipnir for as long as he did (not sure how long…but it was a LONG time).  But, I can’t really say either way…it could happen if his tanking skills were awesome I guess…but, meh…all that matters in the end was I didn’t get my kill…BECAUSE OF FALCON!

Still no kills since I’ve been back (actually, that’s a lie…just got one today, but that’s for another post )

Been a while since I’ve posted about what I’ve been up to, and who I’ve been ‘helping’ ingame, sorry about that…but life got a bit busy.  So, I sat down the past few days and went through over 500 chat logs to try and jog my memory a bit.

Since my last update I’ve still been working on my learning skills, and while doing that I’ve either been working on new applications to Suddenly Ninjas, or can flipping. (by the way, we got wardecced by a 1 man corp recently…now his corp is up to 6 members on last check…so recruitment is closed for the time being.  Anyway, the chat logs below are pretty much all the result of can flipping.

The chat log from this encounter is very long, and boring for 95% of it, so I’ll spare you the boredom since I don’t feel like weeding through the couple hundred lines of it…but to summarize, there was a retriever in an ice belt, with about half a can of ice for me.  He got upset when I put it in my own can and said I stole it from him!  I kindly pointed out that it was in my can, with my name on it, and that I had mined it myself…and he had no proof to the contrary.  After an hour of talking about how I’m a failure (even though I made 2.4mil isk for doing nothing off that ice, and then another 2.4mil isk a bit later when he thought I was gone…) so I got bored with him, sold the ice for cheap, and went on my way to mine in other systems.

In another incident, Aiden Mourn (my esteemed new CEO) got himself some aggro from a Mission Runner.  I suited up in my rifter and headed over to try and get aggro on my own, but ended up just watching him blow the MRs drake up.

We stayed in fleet until a while later he got aggro on some more people, recruited some Remote Rep into the fleet…and again, I invited myself along in my rifter (I’ve since throw away my rifters and am now using Amarr ships since they shoot pretty beams of light…these punishers are a pain in the ass to fit).

I cut out all the hours of crap before this part, and some stuff in between that is the fleet talking about gang bonuses, etc…stuff you don’t need to know about .  The part you missed (because apparently I deleted it and don’t feel like looking through the log again) was that Aiden had found himself a nice set of Mission Runners in a Raven and a Drake.  Both of them shot at Aiden, and then warped, so we spend the next 10 minutes or so looking for them, bouncing between stations, the mission, etc…when they finally warped back into the mission while Aiden was there ready for the tackle.

Oh, I should mention that Mr. Cowbell himself, Ivanna Nuke is flying with me during this event…we like to hang together and flip sometimes.  As hard as I try to get him in on the kill…it never works out .

Just to point out…this guy was flashy red to me and my corp, sitting in a belt, not aligned, not moving, with no drones out, didn’t have me locked…for 6 minutes. 6 minutes to warp out because I didn’t have him pointed. 6 minutes to warp out because he realized I was stalling because he’s an experienced null sec guy that should know this. 6 minutes to warp out because he realized he’s being a fucking idiot. 6 minutes to sit there, and lose a 750 Million ISK ship for no reason…sadly, I was too busy during the fight to grab a screenshot.

I waited for both my corp mates to get outside the system, and he still wasn’t aligned. I told them to jump in and align to belt, he still didn’t align. I told them to warp to me, and did not turn on my Warp Scrambler until they LANDED IN THE BELT WITH ME. So much for checking your directional scanner. These are more reasons I think this guy is not an alt…I think they are good reasons.

Herr Wilkus is known for 2 things mostly within our alliance. He runs our investment program, and he kills Hulks…lots of them…

He answer my evemail, and was excited to help me out. So, while the chat logs are rather dry…and there are actually no real tears from Kiernance about the whole issue…it was a fun, and eventful morning/afternoon for me.

I wasn’t content with just taking his Domi, and his 400mil ISK. I wanted his hulk. After about an hour or so of planning, scouting, and moving his ship into position with my help, Herr Wilkus destroyed Kiernance’s hulk with 1 volley, in an Ice Belt in a 0.7sec system, with dozens of mackinaws watching.

One Volley is all you need for an untanked Hulk.

After Wilkus popped him, he sent the standard EVEMAIL he sends to all his victims.

Oh, and for anyone wondering how my rampage through the Caretyn system worked for the locals.  When I left for work that day…there were no cans in the belts, and no less than 7 people in iterons mining directly into their holds. 2 of them were from piro95’s corp.

Ok, this was a hard decision to split this post and the next one up into two. Because although it all happened within 24 hours or so, the exchanges I had between the 3 people (2 are related, the other is a separate person all together) took place in a weird fashion that ended up making some of one persons story happen in the middle of the other ones time wise, and it would have just been extremely confusing to explain it all in one post, not to mention the length that post would have been. So, this post will be about the first 2 individuals (mostly concentrating on 1 of them…the 2nd guy was just involved because he was a corp mate of the idiot), and the 3rd, not related person…will be in the next post.

It started out like a lot of the other things I’ve talked about recently…a long time ago…in a universe far far away…I was can-flipping.

I happened upon 3 people in the same corp, all in retrievers (I think, it’s a little hazy). With 2 cans of ore just sitting by them. So, I flipped the cans, and warped in the Orca.

I had so much going on with new applicatants to Suddenly Ninjas, chatting in corp, fapping, etc that I’m not 100% sure how it all started, but I think it was something like me going in and out of the belt, multiple times, stealing their ore over and over and over…In the end I had over 80,000m3 of their ore. One time, they tried to be smart and grab the ore out of my can before I could load it in the orca. I wasn’t expecting it, and since they had prealigned…warped to station before I could lock them. They then spent the next 15 minutes docked sadly….and we repeated the process, except I locked them every time I saw them now and they lost their nerve.

During the 23 minutes from the first log and the one above, I struck up a convo with piro95 (who is a world class idiot…really…just wonderful!). We had a long private convo about how I was a dirtbag and I got horny from taking peoples stuff and that I stole lollipops from babies in real life. Then, I finally convinced him to come fight me.

(note: from here on out, I had tons of convo’s with him and his corp mate in private chats, and local, off and on, over and over. For this reason, I’m just gonna put them all together in chronological order, and not really differentiate much between local and private chat, because it doesn’t really matter much)

So, now he has a battlecruiser. Even though I can tell he sucks, this worries me a bit…because, well…I’m less than a month old, and am in a rifter. During the waiting, I head back to the original belt, and what do I find? His corp mates have learned from their mistakes? They don’t want to lose more than the 80,000m3 of ore I’ve already taken from them?…no…another can, so I take that too. This of course, gives him agro on me, and I find out this is why he was stalling, he didn’t want to take from my can. He immediately warps in to the belt (with me right next to my orca, no aligning needed…yay!) Turns out I didn’t need to switch ships though..as he never once let loose one drone.

Ok, now, during this next log, I had 5 separate private convos with piro95 trying to get him to grow some balls. He kept saying he was going to fight, and stalling, and fighting, and stalling. I think he might have been playing with himself in preparation, I’m not really sure. All I know is he kept closing convo, which is why I kept opening new ones…and which lead to 5 convo’s…all of which included me questioning his manhood. I’m not posting those logs, because they are boring…and since he can’t talk well, are very hard to understand, and this paragraph sums it up nicely.

This is also where I am introduced to Grelinor. Piro’s corp mate who is running around in a Caracal pretending like I don’t know he’s there to try and help Piro gank me…and at the same time, try and reason with me to stop all the bloodshed and let the hamsters go free! If Ivanna was here, I’m sure he’d say cowbell was involved somehow.

Once he gets in system, I take from Piro’s can, and sure enough both him and Grelinor open up on me. Grelinor decides to be cocky as he gets me to half armor before my RR starts repping me back up after he lands from warp.

After that, we had a long (really long) convo in local about fighting, them dishonoring a 1v1 (because it was originally supposed to be one…for Piro at least)…and a bunch of other stuff that doesn’t matter. And for those of you wondering about the 1v1 thing…no, I don’t really care about that…as personally I don’t honor them either unless I know you, but…I thought it was fun to pick on them about it and it got a rise out of them for a while.

So, I worked on this post for a little over an hour, highlighted 95% of it, then hit delete instead of control+C…and the wordpress autosaved…I was a bit upset with myself, but here I am, doing it again.

Since I came back to EVE I’ve been doing a bit of Can Flipping and Ninjaing, while training a few basic skills. I’m going to be focussing on getting the learning skills up before the end of April though, that’s my goal…to have those at 5/4 and then throw in the basic core skills.

So, at the moment I’ve flying a Vigil, Probe, and a crappily skilled Rifter…along with my Orca alt to follow me around and do whatever I tell him to. I’ve had a bit of fun so far.

I’ve gotten 2 kills so far, so let me tell you a bit about them, and then I’ll get into a few short chat logs from recent Mission Runners…which I know you all are anxiously waiting for…though, they aren’t THAT good…give me time though!

This first kill is rather lackluster…but a kill is a kill. Not much to say about it so I won’t even bother with the chat log. The jist of the story is I stole some Ore from this noob in a navitas, he convo’d me and asked what I was doing. I told him I was sorry and he could have the ore back. He took it, said thank you, I blew him up…end of story.

The next one was a bit more entertaining for me. I was chilling in Fricoure, skimming through the belts looking for someone to play with before I started searching for some MRs. Low and Behold there is a retriever just happily mining away, tossing his unwanted ore into space. I couldn’t really figure out why he was mining if he didn’t want the ore, but whatever…I went over and took it.

He immediately locked me up, flipped the ore back into his own can, and sent his drones after me. Sweet! I locked up his drones, locked him, pointed him, and started chewing through his T1 drones. Then, silly old me turned off my point . (I had moved it to F2 and forgot about that, though I was reengaging my rockets…oops). Got him into armor and then he warped out.

So, I’m waiting in the belt for my Orca to warp in and grab the ore…when a flashy red Celestis drops in and locks me up while launching 4 more T1 drones. Wow…so I am getting lucky today. Off go my Meta 2 Autocannons and Rocket Launcher while I make sure to not turn off my point this time. Web and pop the drones, and then proceed the 5 minute ordeal of killing his cruiser (noob skills for the win?). During the process I switched ammo a few times to see what would work best, EMP S was the order of the day in the end. During this time the Orca managed to warp in and get me almost a full can of ore.

Then he blew up and warped to the station, where I promptly followed to see if he’d undock in something else. He undocked once in an Exquerer, and redocked when I shot him. After that he let the aggro run out while one of his corp mates warped in in an Ishtar…about 10 minutes after the corp aggro had warn out. Oops?

Apparently Krunak (which by the way, is on my overview right now as I type this…/evilgrin) was blind and didn’t see how many people were attacking him. Usually I’d give him the shadow of a doubt that maybe he thought my drones were other attackers…but…um…I was in a Rifter.

And as you can see there at the end, Ivanna Nuke from over at Nukes Thoughts was there helping out in local…I must say though, he was rather fond of the Cowbell…talked about it all day. This guy was a trip…

Scanned me down a Kronos, and proceeded to start cleaning up his mess. He responded by shooting his wrecks for a little while .

Through the course of 6 minutes, he went from shooting wrecks, to tractoring them in vain as I just grabbed them out of his beams, to rage logging while still in the first pocket of his 3 pocket mission. I count that as a win, and being the generous person I am…I ran around and finished grabbing everything there was while I ignored the 2 Battleship NPCs shooting at me.

Episode 3: (Reason for Title…)

After the Kronos, I found a Navy Megathron hit and was hoping for some fun with him since they are usually whiny little bitches that like to shoot at you. I wasn’t rewarded with either of those really…but, it was entertaining anyway.

Was hoping for Tears, and all I get is “permission” to loot and salvage his stuff…as if I was going to ask him in the first place.

So, off I go, looting the decent stuff, salvaging…all the normal stuff. I finally get to the last room that he is in now and have the following conversation with him when he reopens convo after seeing that I looted. Not spectacular, but…I thought it was enjoyable…more enjoyable that the boring silence had been anyway.

See? They CAN be tamed! Oh, and in case anyone has any further questions…Stennar said I was good…so, it can’t be debated anymore!
