This will come as a shock to some people, while some already know. (and so soon after joining back up with the Ninjas and being made a Director…sorry about that VP
).
I’m quiting EVE, for good.
It’s a very complicated set of reasons that I’ve decided to take this route…but to sum it all up, EVE is hurting me and my family, and I can’t let it do that anymore.
I’ve played EVE for about two and a half years now, off and on, back and forth…with the reason for me taking a break each time either burn-out, or the game affecting my relationship with my family. I’ve realized that no matter what I do, the game always creeps back up to that level of interference and the only way I can solve it is to put down for good.
No, you can’t have my stuff…I already gave it all to Suddenly Ninjas…and I hope they use it to suicide gank you! :p
———-
Now, onto more pressing issues. What to do with the blog?
I was thinking about keeping it up, and turning it into a Ninja Fiction blog (not sure if I want to leave it in the same format, or convert it over to a RP style of writing?) What I mean, is I’ll still be that bastard Ninja that likes to prey on the idiots of EVE…but the stories, chat logs, and incidents will all be completely fake and made up by me.
What do you guys think of that? I’d love to hear your opinions about it! Would you like to read it? Or would knowing it all didn’t really happen make you uninterested.
I’ve had a LOT of people privately talk to me in game and via email about how much they enjoy my blog. How they read it at work, or in the truck rest areas (I had a convo with a Trucker the other day, that was interesting)…and wanting me to post more since I haven’t in a while.
While I know I must leave EVE, I’d hate to let all you loyal readers down by just having the blog go away if you’d still like to see something like this. It’s up to you! Let me know what you think in the comments, or email me at cyberineve @ gmail dot com.
(And for those that care, I’ll also soon be making a LotRO blog, because that’s the only game I’ll be playing now because my entire family plays it and that is where we spend some of our quality time
)…hit me up if you play LotRO on the Meneldor server
Novemember Character Review
by Cyberin on Dec.15, 2009, under Character Updates
This months character review is:
- Quite late…I know, and I’m sorry…I’ve just been rather busy in game doing stuff and finally got the urge to write this post…hopefully now that I’ve got it out of the way I can update you with more juicy posts in the near future!
- A different format than my normal Character Updates. I’ve got a lot to talk about concerning my “Character”…and EVE for me in General this month, so I figured I’d just put it in this post as it makes the most sense!
So first, to get the details out of the way. Cyberin has about 7.8 Million Skillpoints now, and a networth of just a few million under 6 Billion ISK according to EVEHQ. I also no longer have my Orca alt, he was sold when I went out to pirate with the Tuskers. This month saw me train a lot of support and gunnery skills, not to mention the new skills that Dominion opened up for me…Thermodynamics and Hacking/Archaeology. I’ve also finally decided to start working more on my Learning skills, so an update on those will most likely be in the December Character Review at the end of the month (yeah, only 2 weeks away, darn late Review posts…)
October Character Review
by Cyberin on Nov.10, 2009, under Character Updates
Well…as always, I said I was going to pay better attention to my skills and stuff like that for making these Character Review posts…but October was rather hectic…and then at the end of the month someone tried to break into my house so I’ve been busy getting an alarm system…calming the wife down, etc…so it’s a little late to boot!
———-
First off, on Cyberin…I still haven’t started working on my learning skills yet….still 40 days to go to get all the basics to level 5 and advanced to level 4…it’ll happen one of these days, I’ve just had other stuff that’s more important to me for the short term.
I worked on getting some drone skills up because I’ve decided I like them again. Can use T2 Lights and Mediums, along with all the ECM, Logistics, and other drones like that. I also worked on my Remote Repair skills and now have 2 fully fitting Remote Rep cruisers sitting in station for when they are needed…one for shield (Osprey) and one for armor (Exequror).
Somewhere in there I also decided to get my scanning skills up to level 3 all around, with a plan of getting them to 4 in the near future. Other than that, I started training a few support skills that I’ve been neglecting…and then as I normally do, I try to buy all the skill book that’s I have the prereqs for (except those rather expensive ones) which is why I have so many level 1 skills…I just can’t help myself. I think I also threw in some missioning skills (diplomacy, etc) somewhere in October…trying to get my standings up a little for selling/refining purposes.
Ship wise…I cross trained into a few other ships…I can fly all the T1 Frigates, all cruisers except Amarr, and Caldari Battleships now…along with Minmatar, Caldari, and Gallente Battlecruisers…although, weapon wise I have to use most of the high meta stuff…still gotta work on the fitting skills for them sometime.
———-
The Nameless Alt got into an Orca last week and I’ve been enjoying that a lot…already used it in one Corp salvaging op as a central base of operations…and it makes for an excellent time while I’m solo salvaging. My plan now is to do a few more support skills to get a decent fit on the orca, and then I’ll be mixing my training time between skills for Logistics Ships, and Command Ships…since I want this guy to be purely a support character for me and other corp ops.
Also finished Cloaking IV so I can put that lovely Covert Ops cloak on the Blockade Runner!

Aug-Sep Character Review
by Cyberin on Oct.02, 2009, under Character Updates
Since I made the first Character Review post halfway through August, I decided to go ahead and wait until October to do the next one so I could get set for a regular monthly Review post. So…here it is…not much to it, but who knows…someone might find it interesting.
———-
I decided not to do images like last time because I haven’t gotten photoshop working again since my computer died and recently got updated to Windows 7 to fix some errors. So sadly, all you picture lovers (any Goons read the blog?) will have to wait until next month to see those beautiful pie charts.
I also forgot to print out my skillsheet for the first review post, so while I know I have more skills, I’m not 100% of which ones I trained recently, so this will just be a short overview of what I think I trained, and then I’ll start keeping better records to make future Reviews more in-depth and informative!
For Cyberin, I trained up some more scanning skills, a few T2 Frigates (CovOps, Stealth Bombers, Electronic Attack), T2 Small Autocannons and Artillery, T2 Small Projectile Ammo, and then some random other skills. And when I say random, I do mean random. I trained up for a crappy fit Drake to work in wormholes with, got the Caldari Cruiser just high enough to use it, then trained for a T2 (continue reading…)
